Charles N. Funk

Charles N. Funk has been in the banking industry for over 40 years. Charles started their career as a management trainee with American National Bank in St Joseph, MO. In 1979, they were promoted to Assistant Vice President and given the responsibility for management of the company's bond portfolio. In 1983, Funk moved to Union National Bank as Senior Vice President – Investments. There they managed the bond portfolio and assisted with fixed income Trust Department investments. In 1991, Funk was recruited by Brenton Bank to serve as President – Des Moines and Senior Retail Banking Officer. Charles was responsible for the banking operations in the Des Moines market for Brenton. Funk served in this role until 2000 when they left to join MidWestOne Bank as President & CEO. Charles has been with MidWestOne ever since.

Charles N. Funk has a B.A. in Business from William Jewell College and attended the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and the American Bankers Association Graduate School of Investments.
