Katie Symmonds, M.A., SHRM-SCP, CDP has a diverse work experience in human resources and diversity & inclusion. Katie began their career at Goodwill Industries of North Louisiana in 2013 as a Human Resources Intern, where they designed individual development plans and assisted with the production of continuous improvement plans. Katie then worked as a Compliance Specialist at the same organization, providing services to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. In 2015, they joined MidWestOne Bank as a Human Resources Generalist and later became a Human Resources Officer. Katie was promoted to Second Vice President and then Vice President, serving as the bank's Human Resources and Diversity & Inclusion Officer. Throughout their career, Katie has showcased their expertise in diverse HR roles and has contributed to the development of innovative HR practices.

Katie Symmonds, M.A., SHRM-SCP, CDP attended Louisiana Tech University from 2012 to 2013, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Additionally, Katie has acquired several certifications throughout their career, including being a Certified Diversity Professional from the Institute for Diversity Certification, obtaining the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation from SHRM in 2020, and becoming a Predictive Index Analyst through training provided by The Predictive Index.
