Jared Thompson

Jared Thompson, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Software Engineering at Miftek Corporation since August 2023. Prior to this role, Jared held positions at Atomwise from September 2018 to December 2022 as a Staff Engineer and Senior Machine Learning Engineer, and was the Principal and Owner of Strandwood Streaming Analytics between March 2017 and September 2021, providing consulting services in operations research and business intelligence utilizing machine learning. From March 2015 to August 2018, Jared worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor and Principal Data Scientist at Galvanize, focusing on curriculum design in engineering mathematics, statistics, and machine learning, while conducting research in various advanced analytical fields. Additional experience includes roles as Data Scientist/Operations Engineer at ABUV Media, Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University, and research positions at Corium International and Nektar Therapeutics. Jared earned a Ph.D. in Biophysical Chemistry from Purdue University and was a Fellow in Data Science at Galvanize in 2015.
