Steve Smrcina

Steve Smrcina has worked in the Human Resources field since 1996. Steve began their career at North Star Steel, a Cargill Company, as an Industrial Relations Representative. Steve then moved on to TXI in 1998 as a Manager of HR Services. In 2002, they joined HolcimUS, where they held various roles including Director of Human Resources - Northeast, Director, HR Projects, Director of Human Resources, Process Improvement and Planning, Manager of HR Compliance, and Manager of Human Resources Business Support. Most recently, Smrcina joined Mighty Squirrel in 2021 as Director of Taproom Operations and a Bartender.

Steve Smrcina obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Iowa in 1996, majoring in Industrial Relations and Human Resources. In 2015, they earned their Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. Most recently, in March 2021, they obtained a Certified Beer Server certification from the Cicerone® Certification Program.
