Nate Wilairat has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2008 as Environmental Affairs Commissioner for the Associated Students of Pomona College. In 2009, they worked as an Interpretive Ranger and Junior Ranger Ambassador for the National Park Service at Crater Lake National Park. In 2011, they worked as a Senior Consultant for EMI Consulting and a Research Intern for the Council for Watershed Health. In 2016, they were a Graduate Teaching Associate for the Department of Statistics at The Ohio State University. From 2018-2021, they worked at Transamerica as a Lead Data Scientist and Data Scientist, and currently works as a Staff Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist at Migo. At Migo, Wilairat builds and maintains models and algorithms at the core of the company's lending business. At Transamerica, they developed predictive models for their Workplace and Individual products.

Nate then attended Carleton College for one year before transferring to Pomona College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Analysis in 2011. In 2010, Nate studied abroad in Paris at the Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9, where they focused on Theirtoire, \u00c9conomie. Nate then obtained a Master's Degree in Statistics from The Ohio State University in 2018. In addition to their degree, Nate has also obtained certifications from the Stanford Center for Professional Development and edX.
