Avinash Vallarapu (Avi)

Avinash Vallarapu (Avi) has extensive experience in the field of database administration and software engineering. Avinash is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MigOps, a company that focuses on providing advanced features and open-source extensions for PostgreSQL. Avi was previously a PostgreSQL Tech Lead at Percona, where they performed migrations from Oracle and other databases to PostgreSQL and provided technical support and training on PostgreSQL to support teams. Before that, they worked as a Database Architect at OpenSCG, where they developed solutions for PostgreSQL database management. Avi also worked at Dell as a Software Engineer, where they specialized in database administration for various database technologies and developed scripts for monitoring database availability. Additionally, they gained experience in sales support and customer relations while working as a Sales Support Associate at Dell.

Avinash Vallarapu (Avi) received their Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed high school at St. Mary's High School from 2002 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, Avi has obtained several certifications. Avinash became an EnterpriseDB Certified PostgreSQL 9.4 Associate in September 2015, a MongoDB Certified professional in July 2015, an Oracle Certified Apps Professional in December 2014, and an Oracle Certified Professional in March 2014.
