Samhitha Garudadri (Sammy) has a diverse work experience in the field of operations management and PostgreSQL database administration. Samhitha currently works at MigOps as the Director of Operations, where they are responsible for managing customer communications and leading a team of junior DBAs. Samhitha also handles technical documentations and SOWs for migration projects and PostgreSQL consulting. Prior to this, Sammy worked at OpsMax Inc. as an Operations Manager and PostgreSQL DBA. In this role, they managed a team of DBAs and Developers, served as a Technical Account Manager, and performed routine health checks and performance optimizations for PostgreSQL databases. Samhitha also migrated databases from Oracle to PostgreSQL and to cloud platforms. Sammy has also worked as an independent consultant, where they focused on building scalable PostgreSQL databases and setting up replication. Earlier in their career, Sammy worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Software Paradigms Infotech Pvt Ltd, where they handled critical production databases and performed regular health assessments. Overall, Sammy has extensive experience in operations management, customer communications, technical assistance, and PostgreSQL database administration.
From 1995 to 2006, Samhitha Garudadri (Sammy) attended ST.JOSEPH GIRLS SCHOOL. From 2006 to 2009, they studied at KESHAVA REDDY PUBLIC SCHOOL, however, no specific degree or field of study was provided. From 2009 to 2011, Sammy pursued their INTERMEDIATE studies at Sri Chaitanya College of Education, focusing on MPC (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry). Finally, from 2011 to 2015, Sammy obtained their Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Vishwa Mahavidyalaya, Kancheepuram.

MigOps, Inc started with a motive that the beauty of Open Source should stay alive from the beginning of the migration process. It is very easy to fall a trap due to several vendors that are selling tools and solutions promising Oracle compatibility followed by adding a smart vendor lock-in through their proprietary procedural code and tools for backups, monitoring and high availability. Through MigOps (Migrations to Open Source (PostgreSQL)), we wanted to aim towards the right way of migrating to PostgreSQL with no proprietary code but still making the migration process simple and faster.
