Jess Thompson

Jess Thompson is an accomplished social entrepreneur and leader with extensive experience in community engagement and social change. As the Founder and CEO of Migrateful since April 2017, Jess has focused on integrating communities through culinary experiences. Prior roles include serving as an Acumen Fellow at Acumen Academy, where participation in an intensive leadership development program took place from September 2021 to July 2022. Jess coordinated a therapeutic gardening group at Pembroke House and led fundraising initiatives at Housing Justice. A Year Here Fellowship was completed in 2017, encompassing a front-line placement, consultancy project, and social enterprise incubation. Previous experience includes roles as a Time Bank Coordinator, English Language Assistant with the British Council, and a Senior Mentor with the National Citizen Service Trust. Jess holds a Master's degree in International Migration and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and a degree in International Relations, French and Spanish from the University of Sussex.
