Dr. Ryan Mihata, MD, MPH, CPE has a diverse and extensive work experience. Ryan currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Mike O'Callaghan Military Medical Center. Prior to this, they held multiple roles in the United States Air Force, including Emergency Physician / Critical Care Intensivist, MD, MPH, CPE, FACEP, Deputy Commander, Chief Executive Officer/Group Commander, Medical Operations Squadron Commander, Department Chair of Emergency Medicine, and Medical Director/Assistant Professor. Ryan also served as the Squadron Commander at 81st Surgical Operations Squadron and as a Student at Air War College.

Ryan Mihata, MD, MPH, CPE has a Bachelor's Degree from the United States Air Force Academy in 1997. Ryan then went on to obtain a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences - F Edward Hebert SOM in 2005. Ryan pursued further education and earned a Master's Degree in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2008. Additionally, they completed a Master's Degree in Military Operational Art and Science/Studies from the USAF Air Command and Staff College in 2010. Ryan also has completed a Master's Degree in Critical Care Medicine from Indiana University Indianapolis in 2011. In 2017, they earned a Master's Degree in Military Strategic Studies, General from the USAF Air War College. Ryan Mihata holds multiple certifications, including American Board of Emergency Medicine Diplomate, Certified Physician Executive (CPE), Internal Medicine / Emergency Medicine / Critical Care Medicine (IM/EM/CCM), and Neurocritical Care Certification.
