Bonaventure F. P. Dossou

Bonaventure F. P. Dossou is a Deep Learning Researcher at Mila, specializing in fundamental machine learning research for drug discovery under the guidance of Professor Yoshua Bengio and Dr. Dianbo Liu since January 2021. In addition to co-founding Lanfrica, Dossou is a lead researcher at Masakhane, focusing on developing language technologies for low-resourced African languages while mentoring undergraduate students. Dossou's research experience includes a role as a PhD student researcher at Google DeepMind, contributing to large language models in healthcare, and serving as a research scientist at Lelapa AI and Borealis AI, emphasizing responsible AI and model reliability. Dossou's previous internships at Google and Roche involved building datasets for natural language processing and enhancing operational efficiency in pharmaceutical projects. Dossou holds a Bachelor's in Mathematics, a Master's in Data Engineering, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Artificial Intelligence at McGill University.
