Maryam Molamohammadi

Lead Responsible AI Research Scientist at Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute

Maryam Molamohammadi serves as the Lead Responsible AI Research Scientist and a Responsible AI Advisor at the Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, Mila, since September 2021. In this role, Maryam focuses on incorporating responsible AI practices throughout product lifecycles and translates democratic processes into AI pipelines. Additionally, Maryam has experience as an AI Ethics Consultant for the AI for Humanity team and was previously a Responsible AI research intern on the "Towards Democratic Algorithmic Fairness" project. In collaboration with UN-Habitat, Maryam co-authored a project report aimed at helping city administrations adopt responsible AI practices. Prior to this, Maryam held the position of VP of Programming at goLEAD McGill, a project development incubator dedicated to driving community change. Maryam holds a Master of Engineering degree from McGill University, where the research focused on generative modeling for solar cell devices, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology.
