Jean-Charles Martin has extensive experience in the diving and offshore operations industry. Jean-Charles started their career in 2002, working as a Diving Superintendent for Sigma Diving Systems, where they oversaw various inspection, repair, maintenance, and construction projects. Jean-Charles then worked for Naurex, managing field support vessels and coordinating logistics and operations for oil field developments.
In 2008, Martin joined STAT Marine as a Field Support Vessel Superintendent, managing charter vessels and spot vessels. Jean-Charles also served as a Diving Superintendent during this time. At STAT Marine, they were responsible for coordinating operations, logistics, and planning within affiliate departments, ensuring compliance with procedures, HSE, and company rules.
Martin later worked for Total E&P Angola as an FSV Operation & Contract Manager, ensuring coordination between onshore and offshore operations and managing a team responsible for installation engineering, cargo barge leadership, and logistics coordination.
In 2015, Martin joined STAT Marine again, this time as a Client Worksite Representative/Client Diving Representative for Total Austral. Here, they monitored and reported on all HSE matters, provided daily follow-up and progress reports, and identified and reported on non-conformances.
Most recently, Martin has been working for Milaha as the VP of Diving Operations since January 2020.
Throughout their career, Martin has consistently demonstrated strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Jean-Charles Martin attended the Lycée Alexandra David-Neel from an unknown start year until 1987, where they obtained their Baccalaureate degree. Jean-Charles then went on to enroll at Ecole de Maistrance de la Marine Nationale until 1990. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications throughout their career, including IOGP Client Worksite Representative from KBA Training Centre Pte Ltd in 2015 and Risk and Human Factor from TOTAL in the same year. Jean-Charles also holds certifications in Primavera P6 Planning & Project follow-up, HSE Management System - MAESTRO for Middle Management, Major Emergency Management Initial Response, Cause Tree Analysis, Safety Environment Management on Site (GSES), Diving Regulations and Safety Awareness, IMCA Air Diving Supervisor, and Diver HSE Part 2, which were obtained between 1994 and 2014.
