Cori Deterding

Cori Deterding has a diverse work experience in the nonprofit sector. Cori began their career as a Research/M&E Analyst at the American Bible Society, where they developed project proposals and conducted monitoring and evaluation assessments. Cori then worked as a Development Consultant at Shine On Sierra Leone and as a Director of Development at OAfrica, where they implemented development plans and cultivated relationships with donors. At Mile High United Way, Cori held several roles, including Vice President of Community Giving & Engagement, Director of Donor Engagement & Operations, Senior Manager of Donor Engagement, and Manager of Major Gifts. In these positions, they played a key role in developing and executing corporate partnership initiatives, managing donor engagement programs, and overseeing major gift fundraising efforts. Cori also worked as a Business Analyst at Mercy Housing, where they implemented monitoring and evaluation models and provided support for process improvement. Cori holds a Master's degree in International Development from DU and previously worked as a Research Analyst at Geneva Global, where they created project proposals and achieved a 100 percent funding rate.

Cori Deterding completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Global Studies at Colorado Christian University from 2000 to 2004. Cori then pursued a Master's degree in International Development at the University of Denver - Josef Korbel School of International Studies from 2011 to 2013. In 2015 and 2016, they attended the University of Denver's Institute for Leaders in Development program. Additionally, in 2002, Cori attended the University of the Nations.
