Program Coordinator: Denver Land Conservation at Mile High Youth Corps

Makenna Schmitz is an experienced professional with a strong background in land conservation and customer service. Currently serving as a Land Conservation Leader at Mile High Youth Corps since March 2022, Makenna previously held various positions at Sweet Cow Ice Cream, including Assistant General Manager, Shift Lead, and Ice Cream Scooper from February 2019 to October 2021. Makenna also contributed as a Land Conservation Corpsmember at Mile High Youth Corps during the summer of 2019 and gained valuable experience as a Front Office Intern at The Westin O'Hare SPE LLC in the summer of 2018. Early career experience includes working as a Hostess/Food Runner at Benedict's La Strata from July 2015 to August 2016. Makenna earned a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies from the University of Denver's Josef Korbel School of International Studies, following a high school diploma from Prairie Ridge High School.
