Kirsten Gellella

Senior Graphic Designer at Milepost Consulting

Kirsten Gellella has over 12 years of experience in the design, advertising and publishing industries. In 1996, they began their career as an Art Director at Blue Moon Advertising where they conceptualized and created designs for catalogs, brochures, advertisements and business stationary. Kirsten also wrote copy, typeset, proofread, and supervised processes of production for promotional pieces. In 1997, they worked as a Photographer's Assistant at Didier Delmas Photography where they created color scans using a drum scanner, manipulated photos using Photoshop software, and designed graphics using FreeHand and QuarkXPress.

In 2001, Kirsten co-created and produced several annual expos and organized quarterly green business networking events as the Publisher/Creative Director of ReDirect Guide | Oregon/Utah/Colorado. In 2007, they founded and developed monthly networking events for community members interested in sustainability as the Founder, Event Planner & Graphic Designer of SLC Green Drinks. In 2009, they contracted to fully redesign identity and branding for Salt Lake City's Division of Sustainability's Recycling, Green Waste, Composting and E-cycling Programs as a Graphic Designer.

In 2010, Kirsten worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer/Owner at Eye Cuisine Design with a strong focus on marketing and design for sustainable businesses, organizations, governmental agencies, community events and green expos. Finally, since 2013, they have been a Senior Graphic Designer at Milepost Consulting, a sustainability-focused management consulting firm. Here, they help distill technical information into easy-to-understand and fun-to-read reports and infographics to help convey information to the right people in the right tone.

Kirsten Gellella completed their Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, Botany, and Religion from the University of Vermont in 1996. Prior to that, they completed a semester abroad in Ecuador with the Comparative Ecology Program at the School for International Training. Kirsten also graduated from New Milford High School in 1991.
