Miles Nadal JCC
Esther Arbeid has extensive experience in arts and culture management, primarily with the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre. Esther started as the Manager of Adult Arts and Culture in 2003 and later became the Director of Arts and Culture. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Community Programming, overseeing various cultural programs. Esther values the importance of the arts in building community and is grateful for the support of volunteers, partners, and colleagues. Outside of work, they enjoy cycling, singing in a rock choir, and spending time with their family.
Esther Arbeid obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Classical and Ancient Studies from Concordia University, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Following that, from 1991 to 1994, they attended George Brown College, where they graduated from the George Brown Theatre School with a degree in Theatre/Theater. Additionally, Esther has obtained a certification in AODA from the Ontario Disability Employment Network (ODEN), though the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.

The Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre (MNjcc) is a dynamic hub in downtown Toronto. We provide opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to be active, learn, connect and participate in a wide range of cultural experiences. Rooted in Jewish values, the MNjcc is open to all. The MNjcc is home to a 3,800 member state of the art Fitness Centre, the 285 seat Al Green Theatre, four schools, three choirs, a wide range of arts and cultural activities, Jewish Life programming, and a robust Active 55+ program. It is a founding member of the Bloor Street Cultural Corridor, and the lead organizer of the annual Annex Family Festival.
