Gunn Hilde Garte

Gunn Hilde Garte has extensive work experience in various roles. Gunn Hilde started their career in 1989 as a Pleieassistent at Sør-Trøndelag psykiatriske sykehus, Avd. Østmarka, where they worked until 1995. Gunn Hilde then moved on to become the Leder av Romsås frivillighetssentral at Oslo kommune, Bydel Romsås, from October 1998 to July 1999. In 2000, they worked as a Kursleder at Euroskolen AS for a short period of time. From 2001 to 2008, Gunn Hilde was an Advisor at NTNU, where they primarily served as the Koordinator for NTNUs tverrfaglige studieprogram "Afrikastudier" and contributed to the development of online courses. In 2008, they joined Hero Norge AS as a Manager, overseeing Trondheim mottakssenter, one of the largest asylum centers in Norway. In this role, they managed a team of 10 employees, was responsible for budgeting, and served as the HMS (Health, Safety, and Environment) coordinator. Since 2013, Gunn Hilde has been working as a Senior HR Advisor at the Norwegian Environment Agency.

Gunn Hilde Garte attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Social Anthropology (Cand.polit.). Prior to that, they studied at Universitetet i Trondheim, AVH, from 1990 to 1994, and completed their Bachelor's degree (Cand.mag.) in Sosialantropologi, Psykologi, Historie, and Afrikakunnskap. In 1992, they briefly studied Spanish Language at Universidad de Salamanca.
