Louise Bjerregaard Madsen

Louise Bjerregaard Madsen is a dedicated environmental professional with extensive experience in environmental oversight and management. Currently serving as a Specialkonsulent at Miljøstyrelsen since October 2016, Louise oversees the supervision and approval of landfills and businesses involved with vegetable and animal raw materials, as well as wastewater management. Prior experience includes working as a Civilingeniør at Silkeborg Kommune, where responsibilities encompassed environmental supervision and endorsements for various firms, particularly in waste management. Louise also contributed as a Research Assistant at Aalborg University, focusing on the impact of faecal pollution in blue mussels, and gained retail experience as a sales assistant at Bilka. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from Aalborg University and further specialization at Wintec, where research on land use intensification and climate change was conducted.
