Mike Torgersen has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry. In 1990, they began their career as an Independent Consultant for Customer Service Solutions, providing consulting services to clients in the computer, software, and internet service industries. In 1995, they became the Executive Producer at Fujitsu, launching WorldsAway, a virtual community platform for the internet. In 1997, they became the Vice President of Operations at Communities.com. In 1998, they held the same position at Socialnet until it was acquired by Matchnet. In 1999, they were the Vice President of Operations and CIO at Vicinity Corporation until it was acquired by Microsoft. In 2003, they were the Vice President of IT and CIO at Nuance, where they instilled a customer service orientation in the IT organization. In 2005, they were the Vice President of IT and CIO at Sonicwall until it was acquired by Dell. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Consultant, providing fractional CIO services to early-growth companies. Finally, in 2014, they partnered with their daughter to co-found Milk Stork Inc., a company that serves breast feeding moms who travel on business.

Mike Torgersen holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where they studied Finance, Statistics, and Marketing. Mike also holds a BS in Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Mathematics from St. Joseph's College (IN). Additionally, they have obtained a certification in WordPress Ecommerce: WooCommerce from lynda.com in May 2015.
