Vanesa Alonso-Camino, PhD, is a Principal Scientist at Mill Creek Life Sciences since June 2015, focusing on research and development. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Scientist and Staff Scientist at Mayo Clinic from January 2013 to February 2015, and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at UCSF from September 2011 to December 2012, specializing in cancer research and antiangiogenic therapies. Earlier in their career, Vanesa served as a Research Fellow at Fundación para la Investigación Biomédica del Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro Majadahonda from October 2005 to July 2011, concentrating on cancer research, antibody display, immunotherapy, and animal model generation. Vanesa earned a PhD in Molecular Biology with a focus on Molecular Immunology from Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2005-2011), along with a Biology degree in Molecular Biology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2002-2005) and another Biology degree from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (1999-2002).
