Michael Blackwell

Michael Blackwell has a strong and diverse work experience in the real estate industry. Michael is currently employed as the Senior Managing Director at Mill Creek Residential Trust LLC since August 2019. Previously, they held various roles at Crescent Communities, including Managing Director - Texas from January 2017 to July 2019, Regional Director - Texas from January 2014 to December 2016, and Regional Development Manager - Metro DC & Central Florida from August 2011 to December 2013. Before that, they worked at Willis Towers Watson as the Vice President, Real Estate Practice from December 2008 to May 2011. Michael'sresponsibilities included identifying and cultivating new client relationships and improving risk and insurance management for multifamily housing. Prior to that, they worked at JPI as a Development Manager, where they managed luxury apartment communities and mixed-use projects in the Washington DC metro area. Michael'sinvolvement in projects amounted to approximately $350 million and included nearly 1,500 units and 100,000 square feet of retail space. Michael started their career at Marsh as an Assistant Vice President, where they specialized in real estate insurance and risk management. Michael was responsible for originating new client relationships and prospecting.

Michael Blackwell completed their Executive MBA with a focus on Strategy & Finance at the Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in English & Political Science from Hampden-Sydney College between 1997 and 2001.
