Jessy Kate Schingler currently serves as a Law Clerk at Mill Law Center, specializing in the full ecosystem of exempt organizations, including tax law and organizational formations. Additionally, Jessy holds multiple positions at the Open Lunar Foundation, including Board Member and Co-Executive Director for Policy and Governance, working towards a sustainable future both on Earth and beyond. As a Fellow with the Edmund Hillary Fellowship, Jessy is involved in promoting an innovative Global Impact Visa program in New Zealand. Previous experiences include roles as a Law Clerk at Earth Law Center and Visiting Scholar at The Ostrom Workshop, along with significant contributions to the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard University. Early career included positions as an Embedded Software Engineer at Astra and Co-Founder of The Embassy Network. Jessy holds advanced degrees in Computer Science and is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Law at Paris-Pantheon-Assas University, while also having a background in Astrophysics from Queen's University.

Founded by Karl Mill in 2021, Mill Law Center provides legal support to the non-profit and social enterprise sectors, including: Individuals or companies seeking to launch a new non-profit, apply for tax-exemption, and establish a structure for long-term sustainability and impact. Established public charities, private foundations, and other exempt organizations seeking outside general counsel, with specific expertise in corporate law, tax law, charitable trust and solicitation law, impact investment, and charitable gift planning. Lawyers and other experts with different areas of focus that want to support non-profits (whether paid or pro bono) and wish to consult with non-profit law experts. Entrepreneurs and companies that want to explore a collaboration between the for-profit and non-profit sectors to achieve their mission (e.g. establishing a joint venture or non-profit affiliate, donating an interest in a business to a charitable organization). Mill Law Center is based in San Francisco, but serves clients throughout California and across the country.
