David Hopley

David began his career with Millbank in 1989 having served his electrical apprenticeship with Rio Tinto Zinc and spending eight years as an Electrical Engineer with ICI and the Bowater Paper Company. David initially joined the group company Priory Design Limited working along side a small team specialising in all levels of Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines across all industries. The business model and its delivery was well received by clients and several key contracts were awarded for major projects within the oil & gas, energy and nuclear industries.

David was promoted to Director in 1994 to develop new strategies for the company and build an investment plan to offer diversity and growth. In 1995 the Millbank Group was born from two acquisitions - MDA Group (Technical & Engineering agency) and Aughton Automation (E, C & I hire company). In addition new business divisions were developed within the rail and automotive industry, which led to major opportunities on large projects throughout the UK. David was appointed Group Managing Director in 1999 and continues to work with his leadership team to deliver excellent quality driven services to Millbank clients.
