Rajiv Matta

Rajiv Matta has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Rajiv is currently the Managing Director, Emerging Markets at Millennial Specialty Insurance since January 2022. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at Assurant, including Vice President, General Manager for Assurant's international property and casualty portfolio, Vice President, Private Flood managing and growing Assurant's private flood product suite, and Director, Risk Management tasked with developing risk management strategies. Before joining Assurant, Rajiv worked at Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance as a Senior Quantitative Risk Modeler, where they managed new catastrophe model development and collaborated with Tokio Millennium Re. Rajiv also has experience as a Project Manager/Supervisor at Wood, where they oversaw consulting services and managed the development of Hazard Maps. Rajiv began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Clemson University.

Rajiv Matta has an extensive education history. Rajiv earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai between 1999 and 2003. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Clemson University, which they completed from 2003 to 2005. Rajiv then furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance, General from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, which they achieved from 2009 to 2011.

In addition to their academic achievements, Rajiv has also obtained several certifications. In June 2023, they were honored as a listee by Marquis Who's Who. Rajiv received this recognition for their notable accomplishments. Rajiv also completed the Excel Leadership Program at Assurant offered by Harvard Business Publishing Corporate Learning in July 2020.
