Launch Site Systems Engineer at Millennium Engineering And Integration Company

Alessa Makuch has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Alessa started their career in 2012 as a Developmental Engineer for the United States Air Force, where they managed a $12M R&D portfolio and directed a 14-member small UAS test team. Alessa then moved on to become a Test Engineer for the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center, where they constructed test designs and prepared evaluation reports for a $23.5M program portfolio. In 2017, Makuch became the Lead Launch Vehicle Responsible Engineer, leading a technical section of 5 engineers and overseeing mission assurance and risk assessment for the Evolved Extendable Launch Vehicle contract. Alessa also served as the Engineering Division Deputy Lead, leading a team of 20 engineers and technicians in conducting mission assurance and technical risk assessments for Atlas and Delta missions. In 2019, Makuch joined Millennium Engineering and Integration as a Launch Site Systems Engineer.

Alessa Makuch completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from Penn State University. Alessa attended the university from 2007 to 2011.
