Evan started their career at Goodrich Aerospace Aero-Structures as the Lead Thermodynamic Engineer, where they worked on thermal modeling and analyses of aircraft engine nacelles and thrust reverser systems. Evan then moved on to VentureStar LLC, where they owned and managed a successful franchise business, achieving top sales growth and employee retention.
Afterwards, Yagoda joined Aerotek as a Thermal Engineer, specializing in PATRAN/PTHERMAL thermal analysis. Evan also contributed to the development of a best practice seminar for the department.
Yagoda then worked at Jacobs, where they held various roles. As a Multi Mission Space Exploration Vehicle (MMSEV) - Vehicle Systems Engineer, they successfully completed the Pressure Control System (PCS) project ahead of schedule. Additionally, they served as the Subsystem Manager for the Altair Lunar Lander ECLSS & Altair Flight Crew in the Constellation Program, responsible for designing the life support system and developing requirements. Evan also worked as a Thermal Analyst for the International Space Station (ISS) and Space Shuttle, focusing on the development, integration, and verification of the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS). Furthermore, Yagoda served as a NASA Mission Controller for the International Space Station, participating in anomaly resolution activities and mission preparation.
Currently, Yagoda is employed at Millennium Engineering and Integration as an Artemis Program - Vehicle Systems Safety Engineer (VSE) for the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV). In this role, they provide technical expertise and oversight to Lockheed Martin's Orion Aeroshell Thermal Protection System (TPS) and Crew Module Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ELCSS) Active and Passive Thermal Control (ATCS & PTCS). Evan also contributes to safety and mission assurance products and services, including DDT&E and flight operations processes.
Evan Yagoda holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from the University of Michigan, which they obtained from 1992 to 1994. Evan further pursued their education at the same institution and completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in the same field from 1994 to 1996.
