Roderick Pittman, MA, TS/SCI, has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Roderick began their career in the US Army in 1998, serving as an Engineer Officer in various positions. Roderick demonstrated strong leadership skills while overseeing the design and construction of tactical outposts in Iraq.
After their service in the army, Roderick joined the US Army's National Simulation Center as a Management Analyst, providing support for major training exercises. Roderick then moved on to become the Director of Simulations at CASCOM, where they leveraged their expertise in virtual, constructive, and gaming simulations to enhance sustainment organizations' training.
In 2018, Roderick transitioned to the civilian sector and joined Cubic Corporation as a Senior Military Analyst. There, they conducted research and analysis, utilizing the Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) process to address warfighting capability gaps.
In 2019, they worked as an Operational Contract Support Developer at 1prospect Technologies, LLC, focusing on analyzing gaps and implementing solutions within Operational Contract Support capabilities. Roderick then became a Military Requirement Acquisition Analyst at Millennium Engineering and Integration, serving as a Subject Matter Expert for the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System process and advising on operational energy management and weapon system acquisition.
Most recently, Roderick joined the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) as a Senior Program Analyst (Acquisition Lead), where they analyze, evaluates, and provides recommendations for procurement and contractual actions. Additionally, they coordinate with technical leads and prepares procurement request packages for contracts and government activities.
Throughout their career, Roderick has demonstrated proficiency in analyzing complex issues, providing strategic recommendations, and effectively collaborating with stakeholders. Roderick Pittman, MA, TS/SCI, embarked on their education journey by earning a Bachelor's degree in Architecture Engineering from The University of Southern Mississippi. Roderick attended from 1995 to 1997, focusing on the field of study related to architecture and engineering.
After a hiatus, they pursued further academic achievements by enrolling at Webster University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Procurement and Acquisitions Management. This educational pursuit took place from 2009 to 2011, with a specific focus on purchasing, procurement/acquisitions, and contracts management.
In addition to their formal education, Roderick Pittman has acquired a certification in "Learning Microsoft Project" from LinkedIn in September 2020. This certification signifies their expertise in utilizing Microsoft Project, a project management tool.
