Hamed Firouzi

Hamed Firouzi is an experienced quantitative researcher currently focused on alternative data at Millennium since April 2021. Prior to this role, Hamed founded Alphabist, concentrating on systematic trading of digital assets from August 2018 to April 2021. Hamed also served as Vice President in Decision and Data Science for Digital Finance at Goldman Sachs from March 2015 to August 2018 and completed a summer associate role at Goldman Sachs in 2014. Hamed holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, a Master of Science (MS) in Mathematics, and a Master of Science (MS) in Financial Engineering, all from the University of Michigan. Hamed also earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mathematics from Sharif University of Technology.
