James Cooke

Group Leader, Litigation at Miller Canfield

James Cooke has been working in the legal industry since 1984. James began their career as an Articling Student at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin. In 1996, they moved to Miller Canfield as a Principal. In 2005, they joined the University of Windsor as University Counsel. In 2009, they were appointed Partner at Ducharme Fox LLP, providing legal advice and litigation solutions to businesses relating to a wide variety of issues. In 2017, they returned to Miller Canfield as Group Leader of Litigation and Senior Counsel, providing legal advice and litigation solutions to businesses relating to corporate governance, shareholder disputes, insolvency and workouts, contracts, collections and public regulation disputes.

James Cooke obtained a LL.B. from the University of Windsor from 1981 to 1984, studying Law. James then went on to obtain an LL.M. from the University of Toronto from 1988 to 1990, again studying Law.
