Kristen L. Fitzpatrick

Ms. Fitzpatrick is the Managing Principal of the firm and has served on the Executive Committee since 2011. As Managing Principal, she guides the growth and direction of the firm, prioritizes new client services, and establishes the highest standards for professional development and continuing education for principals and staff members.

Kristen led the Audit and Accounting Department for more than 12 years, directing its 100+ member team who provide a range of accounting and audit services for clients in a variety of industries. For the past 10 years, she has served as the Principal in charge of the firm’s compliance with AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center (EBPAQC). Additionally, Ms. Fitzpatrick is the Principal in Charge of Miller Cooper’s recruiting efforts both for experienced hires and campus recruiting.

Ms. Fitzpatrick continues to service numerous businesses in diverse industries including manufacturers, distributors, construction contractors and subcontractors, real estate entities, and service businesses. Current responsibilities on these assignments are to provide ongoing assistance to management, as well as to supervise the audit fieldwork and financial statement preparation. She also performs a variety of financial consulting projects for her clients and serves as a business advisor to her clients in a number of capacities.

Ms. Fitzpatrick received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Illinois State University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. In 2008, Ms. Fitzpatrick was presented with the Early Career Achievement Award from Illinois State University. She is a member of Vistage International, which is the world’s leading executive leadership organization. In 2015, she was recognized by the National Association of Women Business Owners Chicago (NAWBO Chicago) with the annual Corporate Woman of Achievement Award.
