David Cochran

David Cochran has a diverse and extensive work experience in the transportation and logistics industry. David started their career in 1986 at YRC Freight and Roadway, where they worked their way up to the position of Vice President of Special Services. During their tenure there, they led a team focused on expedited services and project-based solutions, and was responsible for creating and developing unique and valuable logistics and supply chain services.

In 2008, Cochran joined R+L Carriers & R+L Global Logistics as the Vice President of Custom Solutions & Business Development. David played a crucial role in establishing a full-service logistics portfolio and recruited a creative team that drove profitable growth for the company. Cochran's innovative ideas transformed the company into a true full-service logistics provider.

After leaving R+L Carriers, Cochran worked as the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing at Altaquip, a Scott Fetzer/Berkshire Hathaway company, from 2010 to 2011. David then joined Exel Direct - Platinum Equity as the Senior Director of Business Development from 2011 to 2013.

Currently, Cochran holds the position of Vice President of Business Development and Marketing at Miller Transfer, where they have been since 2013. In this role, they are responsible for leading all business development and marketing efforts, developing and evolving the in-house CRM and sales process training, and showcasing the value and world-class solutions offered by the company.

Throughout their career, Cochran's focus has been on providing creative specialty transportation solutions and driving customer satisfaction, employee success, and profitable growth.

David Cochran attended Glenville State University from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Their major was Marketing, and they had a minor in Finance. Their education continued at Case Western Reserve University from 2001 to 2008, where they completed Executive Leadership Training. During this period, their focus was on Operational and Sales Leadership. Prior to their university education, David Cochran attended Manchester High School from 1978 to 1982, where they completed a College Prep program with a particular focus on football.
