Brian Grunst has over 20 years of experience in various roles related to HVAC systems and testing. Brian started their career as a Service Technician/Sales representative at Mast Heating & Commercial Refrigeration in 1998, where they efficiently troubleshooted HVAC equipment and managed repair lead times. In 2003, they joined Hart & Cooley, Inc. as a Lab Technician/Product Engineer, responsible for testing and securing safety certifications for gas vent support systems. From 2007 to 2020, Brian worked at TÜV SÜD America, first as an Account Manager, then as a Project Manager, and finally as a Laboratory Supervisor, overseeing daily operations and managing customer relationships. Most recently, they joined Andy J. Egan Co. in 2021 as a Controls Engineer. In this role, they provided expertise in controls engineering until their departure in 2023. Brian currently holds the position of HVAC Lead at MillerKnoll.
Brian Grunst attended Ferris State University from 1996 to 2000. Brian received a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in HVAC Engineering during this time. Additionally, they obtained an Associate of Applied Science/Bachelor of Science degree in HVAC from the same university. In April 2020, Brian Grunst received several certifications related to coaching, developing employees, delegating tasks, transitioning from an individual contributor to a manager, and new manager foundations from LinkedIn.
