Michael Palazzolo

Michael Palazzolo has a strong background in information security and technology. Michael worked at MillerKnoll as the Cybersecurity Engineering and Architecture Lead, starting in March 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Information Security Technical Architect at Herman Miller from November 2020 to July 2021. Michael also has experience as an Information Security Analyst, Information Technology Business Analyst, and Service Desk & NOC Analyst at Herman Miller, with various start and end dates between 2012 and 2020. Additionally, Michael owned Palazzolo Computing, LLC from January 2007 to December 2012.

Michael Palazzolo completed their education at Grand Valley State University. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems in the years 2008 to 2012. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Applied Computer Science from 2015 to 2019.

Additionally, Michael Palazzolo has obtained various certifications. Michael holds the Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals certification from Microsoft, which was obtained in August 2023. Michael also earned the AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2023. In April 2023, they acquired the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA. Furthermore, in March 2022, they obtained the Network Security Associate 3 certification from Fortinet.

Earlier certifications include the Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (January 2022), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (July 2021), Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate (May 2021), and Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (February 2021), all obtained from their respective institutions.

In July 2020, Michael Palazzolo became certified as an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals. Michael also obtained the InsightIDR Certified Specialist certification from Rapid7 in June 2020, and the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations 2020 Certified Associate certification from Oracle in May 2020.
