Craig Middleton

Craig Middleton was appointed Assistant Head (Pastoral and Staff) in September 2021 and is responsible for managing the pastoral staffing, housemasters and housemistresses within the school, including the medical centre and counsellors.

Craig joined Millfield in 2006 and has held leadership roles in academic and pastoral spheres of Millfield throughout this time, ranging from Head of Science to senior housemaster. He previously ran Warner House at Millfield for nine years and has also been working extensively for the last 10 years as a consultant and course tutor for the Boarding Schools Association, a role which he continues to maintain.

Craig holds a BSc Hons in Industrial Chemistry from Liverpool University and previously worked in industry as a research chemist. He also holds a PGCE from York university and is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, MRSC.
