Demosthenis Demosthenous

Demosthenis Demosthenous is an experienced consulting actuary currently working at Milliman since January 2011. Previously, Demosthenis served as an actuary for Laiki Insurance from December 2008 to January 2011, focusing on various actuarial topics including reserving, reporting, and reinsurance. Prior to that, Demosthenis had a substantial tenure at Swiss Re, spanning from June 2003 to December 2008, where roles included actuary in risk management and contractor in the health team. Significant experience gained at Swiss Re involved EVM reporting, US Stat and GAAP valuation, and systems transformation. Prior to professional pursuits, Demosthenis completed military service as a sergeant from 1995 to 1997. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Actuarial Mathematics from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Panepistimio Kyprou.
