John Delavan

John Delavan, M.A., M.Ed., is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as a Communications Specialist at MDRT since December 2022, where responsibilities include amplifying organizational messages and strategic initiatives. Previously, at Penn State University from April 2015 to December 2022, Delavan held the position of Communications Strategy Specialist and also served as an Adjunct Faculty member, specializing in speechwriting and the creation of key documents for high-level administrators. With a background in leadership roles such as Director of Marketing & Communication Services at SmithBucklin and Director of Publications/Editor-in-Chief at both the Association of Legal Administrators and Meeting Professionals International, Delavan has extensive experience in strategic communications, publication management, and content development. Delavan holds a Master of Education in Higher Education and a Master of Arts in Mass Communications from Penn State University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Journalism from Loyola University New Orleans.
