Amy Criswell

Amy Criswell is an accomplished educational leader with extensive experience in early childhood education. Currently serving as the Lower School Principal at Milton Academy since June 2023, Criswell previously held the position of Lower School Director at Elgin Academy (IL) from June 2021 to June 2023 and Assistant Lower School Director at Dawson School from July 2016 to June 2021, where also contributed as a Lower School Teacher. Criswell's teaching career spans various roles, including Classroom Teacher at St. Vrain Valley Schools and Mapleton Public Schools, and Reading Coach at Rochester, NH School Department. Educated at the University of New Hampshire with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Drama/Theatre Arts, Criswell has a solid foundation in curriculum development, instructional strategies, and team collaboration, all focused on enhancing student success.
