Peter Marland

Peter Marland serves as the Leader of Milton Keynes City Council since June 2014, overseeing local government operations. In addition, Peter holds the position of Board Chair and Finance Spokesperson for the Local Government Association, effective December 2022, and serves as a Non-Executive Director for Local Partnerships LLP and a Board Trustee for Helen & Douglas House. Peter's past roles include being a Board Member for the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership until April 2024, Vice President at Energy Cities from May 2017 to September 2020, Finance Manager at Northgate Vehicle Hire, and Office Manager for Economic Secretary to the Treasury Kitty Ussher MP. Previous experience also includes various positions at Liverpool Football Club. Peter's educational background includes a BA Hons in Politics from the University of Liverpool and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Chester.
