Shanika Mahendran

Shanika Mahendran is a prominent political figure currently serving as the Cabinet Member for Planning & Placemaking and City Councillor for Loughton & Shenley ward at Milton Keynes City Council since May 2022, where election success was achieved with 52% of the vote. Additionally, Shanika holds the position of Cabinet Member for Economy, Sustainability and Innovation at the Labour Climate and Environment Forum from May 2024 to November 2024, managing the Air Quality and Transport programme.
