Joseph Laabs

Joseph Laabs is an experienced educator specializing in elementary education, currently serving as an Elementary School Teacher at Milwaukee Academy of Science since August 2021. Previously, Joseph held the position of 4th Grade Lead Teacher at HOPE Christian Schools from February 2017 to June 2021, where a supportive learning environment was cultivated, and a focus on culturally relevant curriculum and differentiated instruction was emphasized. Joseph also contributed as a Teaching Assistant, facilitating small group interventions and supporting students’ social, emotional, and intellectual growth. Prior experience includes serving as a Visitor Assistant at the Milwaukee Public Museum, where Joseph welcomed large school groups and facilitated educational programs. Joseph Laabs holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, earned between 2012 and 2015.
