Andrea Rivera de Vega has extensive work experience in various roles. Andrea started their career in 2009 as a Recruitment Specialist at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, where they worked for seven years. In 2016, they joined Children's Community Health Plan (CCHP) as an HMO Member Advocate before moving on to Penfield Children's Center in 2017 as a Bilingual Outreach Specialist. In the same year, they also became a member of the Board of Directors at KEEP GREATER MILWAUKEE BEAUTIFUL INC. Most recently, in 2019, Andrea assumed the position of Director, Special Events & Volunteers at Milwaukee PBS.

Andrea Rivera de Vega holds a Master of Science degree in Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, which they completed in 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from the same university in 1996. Before their studies at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Andrea graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Universidad Nacional de La Plata in Argentina in 1993.

Milwaukee PBS is southeastern Wisconsin’s premier non-commercial media organization. Milwaukee PBS consists of two high-definition television stations, WMVS and WMVT, and four additional digital television services. The Milwaukee PBS stations are the area’s only over-the-air source for PBS and other national public television programs, and also offer a diverse schedule of their own award-winning local series and specials. WMVS and WMVT are licensed to the Milwaukee Area Technical College District Board, and the stations’ studios and offices are located on MATC’s downtown campus at 1036 N. 8th Street, Milwaukee. Over 600,000 viewers watch Milwaukee PBS’s two primary broadcast channels each month from throughout southeastern and parts of south central Wisconsin, and in northern Illinois.
