Jonathan Hetler is the Artistic Producer, Casting & Special Events at Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Inc. Jonathan has also served as an Emerging Professional Resident in Directing at Milwaukee Repertory Theater from August 2019 to March 2020, where they assistant directed five shows for the 2019-2020 Season. Hetler also began directing Hamlet that was cancelled due to COVID-19. In addition, they served as a line producer for assisted shows and prepared and oversaw all understudies for each assisted show. Jonathan has also directed a stage reading for the Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne’s Ten Chimneys Estate.
Previously, Hetler was an MFA Candidate in Directing at Ohio University from August 2016 to May 2019. Jonathan was also the President of the Board at Human Resource Association of Centre County (HRACC) from July 2015 to August 2016 and the Vice-President of the Board at State College Community Theatre from November 2012 to December 2015. In addition, they served as the President of the Board at Global Capacity from January 2010 to December 2012.
Jonathan Hetler has a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A) in Directing from Ohio University, a Master of Arts (MA) in Theatre/Theater from Regent University, and a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Organizational Change and Development from Regent University. Jonathan also has a degree in Bible/Biblical Studies and Youth Ministry from Elim Bible Institute.
