Tom Best

Tom Best serves as a High School Math Teacher at Cross Trainers Academy, part of the Milwaukee Rescue Mission, starting in January 2024. Prior to this role, Tom held positions in academia and healthcare, including Manager of Research and Analytics at The University of Chicago Biological Sciences Division from November 2015 to January 2024. Additionally, Tom was a Lecturer and Assistant Professor of Healthcare Administration at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Earlier career experiences include project management and consulting roles at The University of Chicago Medicine and research assistance at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. Tom Best earned a PhD in Operations Management from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and holds both a BS and MS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
