Carl Layton

Carl Layton has over twelve years of professional experience in software engineering and development. Carl began their career in 2008 at Care Communications, Inc. as an I.S. Associate, where they were responsible for daily help desk and general IT support and troubleshooting both onsite and remote. Carl also performed general network and server administration in a Windows environment, including Windows Server 2000 and Windows Server 2003, as well as firewall and VPN troubleshooting and support. In addition, they planned and created IT training videos to train end users on new and changing IT assets, and designed and implemented a help desk application based on Microsoft SharePoint technology and integrated it into the intranet.

In 2010, Carl moved to Motorola Solutions as a Sr. IT Software Specialist. In 2015, they joined BAI as a Software Architect, Senior Software Engineer, and Senior Application Developer. Most recently, in 2022, they began working as a Lead Software Engineer at Milyli.

Carl Layton received their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Western Illinois University between 2004 and 2008. Carl then went on to receive their Master of Science in Software Technology from Loyola University Chicago between 2008 and 2010.
