Jim Szelagowski

Jim Szelagowski has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Jim started their career in 2007 as an Independent Contract Photographer at Ripcho Studio Inc. Then, they worked as a Sales Associate at Portrait Innovations. In 2008, they joined Luscious Verde Cards, where they held positions as a Communications Specialist and Proofreader, responsible for proofreading and editing various materials. Jim later became the Customer Service Manager, overseeing a team of five employees and handling HR responsibilities. In 2018, Jim joined MIM Software Inc. as a Customer Engagement Associate, providing support to customers and creating user-friendly documentation. Jim eventually became a Technical Content Developer II, leading the implementation of MadCap Flare software and conducting writing workshops. Currently, Jim serves as a Senior Technical Content Developer at MIM Software Inc., where they developed a new system for managing documentation and continues to enhance efficiency within the team.

Jim Szelagowski has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Graphic Design from Saint Vincent College, which they obtained from 2003 to 2007. Jim also attended Trinity High School from 1999 to 2003. In terms of additional certifications, Jim obtained a number of certifications in various IT-related fields. These include becoming a GitLab Certified Associate from GitLab in July 2021, completing the Code Foundations Career Path from Codecademy in May 2020, and earning the Google IT Support Professional certification from Coursera in April 2020. Jim also completed several other Coursera certifications, including IT Security: Defense against the digital dark arts in April 2020, System Administration and IT Infrastructure Services in December 2019, Operating Systems and You: Becoming a Power User in August 2019, The Bits and Bytes of Computer Networking in October 2018, and Technical Support Fundamentals in March 2018. Furthermore, they achieved advanced fluency in Spanish (estimated) through the Duolingo Spanish Fluency program in February 2016.
