Mumtaz Kynaston-Pearson

Mumtaz Kynaston-Pearson is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in various legal roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as Principal Legal Counsel at Mimecast since November 2022, Mumtaz provides legal support for product development and engineering initiatives while addressing legal and regulatory requirements. In addition to this role, Mumtaz has been a Parent Governor at Launde Primary School within the Scholars Academy Trust since December 2020. Previous experience includes positions as Legal Counsel for RS Group plc and Joules, as well as serving as a member of the Board of Trustees for Citizens Advice LeicesterShire. Early career experiences included secondments at British American Tobacco and Jaguar Land Rover, as well as a commercial solicitor role at Shoosmiths, following a training contract at Pinsent Masons. Mumtaz’s educational background includes a postgraduate certificate in Legal Technology from The University of Law and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Oxford Institute for Legal Practice.
