Michael Burtscher is a seasoned software architect and engineer with extensive experience in the cybersecurity domain. Currently serving as the Sr. Principal Software Architect at Mimic since July 2023, Michael is instrumental in developing an Anti-Ransomware product. Prior roles include driving technology advancements at Secureworks for the Taegis EDR/XDR product, architecting Webroot Secure Anywhere and its successor at OpenText, and founding the innovative data protection company Segira. Michael's background also features significant contributions to Malwarebytes and various roles at Webroot, where crucial product enhancements were made. An ETH Zürich graduate with both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science, Michael has a proven track record of mentoring engineers and leading technological innovation throughout a distinguished career spanning over two decades.
