Alex R.

Alex R. is a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Mind Foundry, where they have worked since 2025. Previously, they were a Staff Machine Learning Scientist at Equilibrium Energy from 2023 to 2025, and a Researcher at Invenia Labs from 2017 to 2023, focusing on probabilistic machine learning models and power grid optimization. Alex also served as a Data Scientist at Onzo Ltd. from 2013 to 2016, where they developed machine learning algorithms for smart meter energy data, and as a Scientist at Experian, creating risk models from financial data. They began their career as a Research Assistant at the Center for Neural Basis of Hearing in 2007, applying machine learning to speech recognition. Alex earned an MSci from the University of Cambridge and a PhD from the University of Oxford.
