Nathan Korda has worked in a variety of roles in the field of Machine Learning since 2011. In 2011, they began as a Postdoctoral Researcher at INRIA - Nord Europe, where they were able to apply their knowledge of algorithms to Machine Learning. From 2013 to 2016, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford. During this time, they collaborated with Professors Stephen Roberts and Michael Osborne on industrial problems for Schlumberger, as well as conducting their own research on Bandit Problems and other topics related to Reinforcement Learning and Control. In 2016, they were appointed as Research Director at Mind Foundry, where they were responsible for ensuring the product contained the best and most appropriate Machine Learning technology. In 2017, they became Senior Research Scientist at Mind Foundry and led the Science Program, including the development of the prototypes for Mind Foundry's Machine Learning Platform. Nathan also built innovative bespoke ML solutions through consulting services for heavy industry clients.
Nathan Korda attended the University of Oxford from 2003 to 2011, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Masters of Mathematics (MMath) in Mathematics.
