Stefano Zambon

Chief Technology Officer at MIND Music Labs

Stefano Zambon has been working in the field of technology since 2011. In 2011, they worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Verona, where they investigated, designed and implemented the algorithms for a full real-time piano synthesizer based on physical modeling. In the same year, they also worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Udine, where they developed a low-latency musical gesture recognition system for an embedded Linux platform. From 2011 to 2015, they worked at Viscount International S.p.A. as a Researcher and Developer, where they designed and implemented various tools for sound design and advanced sound analysis. Since 2015, they have been working at Elk as the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Technical Officer, where they are responsible for the development of the embedded software running inside the new generation of smart musical instruments.

Stefano Zambon received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Informatica from Università degli Studi di Verona between 2008 and 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Laurea Specialistica in scienze e tecnologie informatiche with a focus on Sistemi intelligenti e Multimediali (Intelligent and Multimedia Systems) from the same university between 2004 and 2007. Stefano also earned a Laurea triennale in Scienze e Tecnologie Informatiche with a focus on Scienze informatiche from Università degli Studi di Verona between 2001 and 2004.
